Upon arriving at Hotel Villa Paraiso, amidst the rain, we were warmly welcomed by the owner-a delightful start to our stay. The room, although basic, boasted comfort. The bed was firm, ideal after a long journey, and the air conditioning worked like a charm. The highlight? A pristine pool, perfect for cooling off post-excursions. The staff were attentive and accommodating; nothing was too much trouble, from patiently awaiting our early morning collectivo to their friendly faces at reception. Convenience wasn't lacking either; free parking and a 24-hour front desk made logistics a breeze. The only downside? The breakfast, though generous, didn't quite cater to western palates, and as a Colombian, I yearned for a better cup of coffee!For those seeking a home base near the Tatacoa Desert, Villa Paraiso is a solid choice. The peaceful ambiance and impeccable service make for a pleasant stay. And for my fellow cultural enthusiasts, the proximity to tours and ticket assistance ensure easy exploration of the surrounding area. All in all, a recommended option for a short escape.
